About us — Doxie Do's miniature dachshunds

I chose the name Doxie Do’s as it represents the wonderful personality of the dachshund breed. They steal your heart in a moment’s notice. The myth that dachshunds aren’t good with children is just that, a myth. I was ten years of age when our family got their first dachshund. My baby brother didn’t go anywhere without our Holly. They were the best of friends in good times and not so good times, lol. When we went off to school she was at home waiting patiently. When she heard the school bus she was all smiles and tail wags. A dachshund/dog can help your child learn empathy, how to have fun, the importance of a schedule, many responsibilities and life experiences, but most of all love.

Here at Doxie Do’s we breed and home raise our miniature dachshunds in rural west central Illinois, to be the best quality pet and companion. They are sweet, loving, intelligent, social babies. We breed both long and smooth coats in a variety of colors and patterns. Our puppies are started training on a grass potty pad and trays, crate trained for their safe place, handled daily for touch, socialization, and love. They are introduced to a clicker to help you with training if you so chose. I recommend books or videos by Zak George, there is a link to a free video on the resource page. Our puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian, fecal tested, de wormed, vaccinated, and come with a lifetime health guarantee against congenital diseases. Our sires and dams are our spoiled with love family members. They are health tested, vetted, kept up to date on all vaccines, fed a well balanced diet of Purina Pro Plan, treats of beef liver, sardines, chicken, vegs, etc. All of which helps keep them free of internal and external pests, healthy and very happy. Cheryl was an absolute pleasure to deal with during the entire adoption process. She was so kind to always send weekly pictures and videos. Very prompt on returning texts and e-mails. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to miniature dachshunds and this is truly her calling. We will definitely use her again in the future…when I convince my hubby Ruger needs a brother.

We are in love with our gorgeous baby girl Mabel! She was clearly well cared for, crate trained, and loved before she came home to us. She is so smart, she already knew to scratch the door when she needed to go out. Cheryl was a fantastic communicator, sending us weekly updates of pictures and videos. She even met us halfway when we picked her up and sent us home with a bag of goodies for Mabel. Thank you, Cheryl!

We absolutely love our new little guy! Cheryl, the breeder, is wonderful. She sends updated pics along the way & even met us an hour our way to pick-up our new dog. I highly recommend Doxie Do’s if you are looking for a mini Doxie to love.

Cheryll was really nice and super easy to deal with. She kept us updated regularly and could definitely tell her puppy’s were incredibly well cared for!
